Announcing HTB Meetups for Universities: Everything you need to know

Fostering a community where cybersecurity enthusiasts can unite to learn, grow, and collaborate has been at the heart of Hack The Box’s (HTB) founding vision. Now with over 2 million members worldwide, we're excited to introduce a special type of HTB Meetup to empower students and educational institutions involved in cybersecurity! 

What are Hack The Box Meetups for universities?

HTB Meetups for Universities are local gatherings for university students, where they come together to connect with like-minded peers. This unlocks the opportunity for students to share knowledge, learn from each other, and evolve into cyber-ready individuals. 

These meetup events might take place on-site or virtually. They can be hosted bi-weekly, bi-monthly, or quarterly depending on the needs of each university group.

Who organizes Hack The Box Meetups for Universities?

Hack The Box Meetups for Universities are organized by students, professors, or university cybersecurity clubs. These meetups are hosted by one or more individuals with free support from Hack The Box.

The free perks that HTB provides include:

• Meetup.com platform: Schedule future events, gather interest from students, set your agenda, and fire up fellow students with fun educational meetups! 

• Dedicated Labs: Our exclusive lab environment for teams and organizations is provided free for the meetups, with all HTB Machines available.

• Private Discord channel: Access to a private Discord channel for all organizers to connect, share ideas, and get inspired by other organizers.

• HTB swag and service vouchers: Swag and service vouchers for the attendees.

We’ll help you organize exciting events tailored to your group's skill level and unique educational needs. This includes events such as:

• HTB Machine walkthroughs.

• General technical/security workshops. 

• Guest speakers on specific security topics.
